It’s A Long Walk To Freedom
Nelson Mandela was sentenced to life imprisonment on June 12th, 1964. He made this speech from the dock, shortly before sentencing commenced:
How much would it cost?
Now we are entering the second half of the year, and still there are more and more people who do not understand that you cannot get “experts” to work for no economic reward. I’m based in Denmark, but what I am about to say is not a Danish phenomenon, but a global one. In these times where everyone wants to reduce their costs and increase their revenue stream – why are they so reluctant to pay for it?
“There are so many men who can figure costs, and so few who can measure values.”
Just Saying!
“The best people
possess a feeling for beauty,
the courage to take risks,
the discipline to tell the truth,
the capacity for sacrifice.
Ironically, their virtues make them vulnerable.
They are often wounded,
sometimes destroyed.”
Ernest Hemingway
Mind Over Matter
“It is not the problem that’s the problem. It is your attitude about the problem.” – Captain Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Caribbean)
Top performers
I guess that I was not the first person to identify the direct correlation between sports and sales success? As in both fields (pardon the pun) top performers are able to handle emotional disappointments, bounce back from losses, and mentally prepare themselves for the next opportunity to compete.
Are you a pleaser?
“I don’t know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.” – Bill Cosby
Three Rules of Work
“Out of clutter find simplicity; From discord find harmony; In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.” – Einstein
What is your motivation?
“People often say that motivation does not last. Well neither does bathing, that’s why we recommend it daily.” – Zig Ziglar
